What is a non-traditional occupation?
A non-traditional occupation is an occupation in which 75% or more of the persons in that field are of the same gender.
Why consider a non-traditional occupation?
The best reasons for considering non-traditional career choices are simple and direct: increased pay and wider choice of career options. Nontraditional occupations for women will earn 150% more over a lifetime of work than a traditional occupation for women. Students are encouraged regardless of gender to follow their dreams and utilize their interests and skills.
